I signed up for the goodie bag swap a few weeks ago and made this bag for my partner.

Foster Cats

I love cats as well as craft. Earlier this year I decided to volunteer as a cat foster carer for the Celia Hammond Animal Trust On Sunday I got my third lots of foster cats, a completely adorable Mum with her four kittens. They were rescued from under a shed where they were living after being abandoned. They are very shy and I have not manged to get a photo of all of them yet but look how gorgeous they are!
The Mum is the sweetest, most good natured cat I have ever met and I really cannot imagine how anyone could abandon her. She has settled right into her new home and will make someone a wonderful pet. Hmmm I'm tempted to be that someone.

Sew Modern Quilt Bee

I belong to three wonderful Virtual Quilting Bees. I love being in these Bees as they give me a chance to work with beautiful fabrics, try new blocks withot having to commit to a whole quilt, be inspired by all the wonderful craftspeople out there, extend my skills and, most importantly they make me try fabrics, colours and blocks that are different to what I would normally choose for myself.

This month in Sew Modern Quilt Bee Sarah requested wonky quarter log cabin blocks using this tutorial from quilt dad. Sarah sent some beautiful, summery fabrics from Amy Butler's Soul Blossoms range and some Anna Maria Horner Innocent Crush. They were so lovely to work with and I made them into these

Aren't they just the prettiest fabrics? They are going to make a great quilt. Sarah also requested a flower, of any kind, to go with the blocks. Luckily I had some innocent crush left from the Goodie Bag swap which I made into this

It's a little wonky I admit but I made it up as I went along. Really hope you like them Sarah!

My First Post

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog. This is my first time blogging and I'm really excited to start. My blog will be mostly about craft and a bit about living in London, as it is such a great city to live in with so many interesting things going on. I love making things and enjoy sewing, quilting, knitting, crochet, jewellery making, paper cutting and above all making bags! I love using all the wonderful fabric that is out there to make lovely new bags. These are some of the bags I have made

Metal Snap Frame Purse made during a great class at The Make Lounge one of my favourite places in London

Multi-tasking Tote from Lisa Lam's Bag Making Bible for my secret partner in the Goodie Bag Swap

Well that is my first post, I will be back soon with more craft including the wonderful virtual quilting bees I belong to. See you then!
